The last night the smell was unbearable and we didn’t feel safe with sleeping with the balcony door open again so we reached out to the receptionist. The 2nd to last night it was strong but we slept with the balcony door open. As for housekeeping, the room was cleaned with undiluted aminoa. Which means you can literally see EVERY movement of the person in the shower. We had a double room for 3 adult women, the space was sufficient but the wall that separates the sleeping area from the shower is partially frosted. The staff was professional but, in a way, it feels they are told not to interact with the guest. For all inclusive and price that was paid, I would expect more options. I went during the down season which I expected it to be less crowded but that also means the dining options are cut down to 1 restaurant a night during the week and 2 on the weekend. The staff did what they could with the resources that they have but this is a far cry from any other Amar properties. Unfortunately, this was a miss in that area. I've been to other AMAR properties and was expecting that quality and treatment.
